Shipping Japanese Vintage to Taiwan: Cost, Time and Customs

We get this question more than any other from customers in Taiwan: how much is shipping, how long does it take, and do I have to pay customs? Here is the plain answer from our store in Kyoto — no marketing language, just the numbers we actually charge and the times we actually see.

1. Shipping cost to Taiwan: ¥1,500 flat

Shipping to Taiwan is a flat ¥1,500, regardless of how many items you buy or how heavy they are. Buying three shirts costs the same in shipping as buying one.

For reference, our other rates are:

• Taiwan — ¥1,500 flat
• South Korea — ¥1,800
• Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand) — ¥2,500
• Japan — from ¥870, free over ¥7,700

The exact amount is always shown at checkout before you pay.

2. How long it takes: 7–21 days after dispatch

We dispatch orders within 3–7 business days of confirmation. We do not ship on weekends or Japanese public holidays. After dispatch, delivery to Taiwan usually takes 7–21 days depending on the carrier and customs clearance.

So from the moment you order, plan for roughly two to four weeks in total. If you need something for a specific date, order with margin — vintage is not restocked, and we cannot rush customs.

3. Customs and import tax

Import duties, taxes and clearance fees are set by the destination country, not by us. For orders to Taiwan, any such charges are the customer's responsibility. We cannot calculate or estimate them in advance, and they are not refundable.

If a package is refused because the charges are not paid, it may be returned, held or disposed of by customs — and the shipping, return and handling costs fall to the buyer. This is standard for cross-border orders, but we would rather say it clearly than surprise anyone.

4. Everything is one of a kind

Every garment we sell is a single second-hand piece sourced in Japan. There is no second size, no restock, no reorder. Because of that, items are sold as final sale: we accept returns only if the wrong item arrived, or if there is a significant defect that was not described.

To make that fair, we publish real photographs of the actual garment, flat measurements taken by our staff, and a condition grade from S to D on every product page. Where the photographs and the text differ, the real photographs and the listed measurements are the description of the goods.

5. Before you order — two checks

• Measurements, not tag size. A 1990s Japanese M is not a modern M. Compare our flat measurements with a garment you already own. See our Size Guide.
• Condition grade. B means normal signs of wear. That is what vintage looks like. See our Condition Guide.
